Online or on-site Vastu consultation: which do you need?

How each works, what each can and cannot show, and how to choose.

Updated · 4 min read

An online Vastu consultation reviews your plans, photographs and location remotely and discusses them on a call or video meeting. An on-site consultation adds a visit to the property. Many reviews are complete online. A visit helps most when the surroundings, slope or access are part of the question.

How an online consultation works

  1. You send the floor plan or site plan, photographs and the location.
  2. The plans are studied before the call, so the discussion starts from specifics.
  3. A call or video meeting walks through the findings and your questions.
  4. You receive a written summary of observations and priorities.

When online is enough

  • Apartments and flats, where the plan carries most of the information
  • Floor plans under design, before construction
  • Comparing several properties quickly
  • Properties in another city, or buyers living abroad

When a site visit adds value

  • Plots, farmhouses and larger parcels, where slope and surroundings matter
  • Villas and independent houses under construction
  • Offices, showrooms and factories, where flow and use need to be seen
  • Homes where the plan is unavailable or differs from what was built

How to choose

Start with the decision in front of you. If you are comparing flats, online is usually enough. If you are about to buy a plot or commit to a large build, ask whether a visit is advisable. Visits depend on location and scheduling, so mention your city when you enquire.
