Vastu floor plan review before construction
A plan on paper can move a wall in minutes. The same change on site takes weeks and money. This review is built for the point where the plan is drawn but not yet fixed.
A Vastu floor plan review takes your architect's drawings and reads the layout against traditional Vastu principles before they are final. It is the least costly time to make changes, because nothing is built yet.
Who this is for
- Owners with draft drawings from an architect or builder
- Families who want a second opinion on a layout
- Developers and builders working on a single home or a small project
- Architects who want a consultant's view on a client's brief
When to consult
After the first draft plan and before working drawings are issued or construction starts.
What is reviewed
- Placement of the entrance, living areas, kitchen, pooja space, bedrooms and toilets
- Central zone treatment and circulation through the plan
- Staircase, water tank, septic tank and borewell positions
- Room proportions, openings and the position of doors and windows
- Where a small change in the plan resolves several observations at once
What to prepare
- The draft plans in PDF or image form, with dimensions and a north marker
- The site plan showing roads and plot boundaries
- A short brief of what the family needs from each room
- Contact details of the architect, if you would like them on the call
What you receive
- A written summary of observations marked against the plan
- Suggested alternatives for rooms or features that sit poorly
- A priority order, so the architect can work through changes efficiently
- A call with you and, if you wish, the architect
Online and on-site
Online
Plans are reviewed remotely and discussed on a video call. This is the usual format for floor plan reviews.
On-site
A visit to the plot, subject to location and scheduling, where the site influences the plan.
Where Vastu ends and other professionals begin
- The review does not produce architectural drawings or structural design.
- Suggested changes must be checked by your architect against sanctioned plans, setbacks and building rules.
- The review does not replace statutory approvals or safety review.
Questions about this service
What format should the plan be in?
PDF or image files with dimensions and a north marker are enough. CAD files are not required.
Will the architect need to redraw everything?
Usually not. Observations are marked against the existing plan, and many are resolved by moving a room use or a fixture rather than redrawing the whole.
Can I get a second opinion on a plan I have already reviewed?
Yes. Share the plan and the earlier advice, and the consultation will go through where the views agree and differ.
