Vastu review for your existing home

Most people consult after they already live in a home. The review starts from what is built and focuses on room use, placement of furniture and fittings, and the few changes that are worth considering.

An existing home Vastu review studies the plan and use of rooms in a house you already own or rent, and suggests practical adjustments, preferring arrangements that do not need construction wherever that is possible.

Who this is for

  • Families who have lived in a home for years and want it reviewed
  • Owners about to move in, before the housewarming
  • Tenants and renters who cannot alter the structure
  • Owners of independent houses and floors

When to consult

Any time. A review before moving in is the most convenient, as furniture and rooms are not yet set.

What is reviewed

  • Orientation, entrance and the plan of each floor
  • Current use of rooms, and which uses could be swapped
  • Placement of kitchen, toilets, pooja space and sleeping areas
  • The central zone and areas that are cluttered or blocked
  • Furniture, storage and fittings that can be moved at low cost

What to prepare

  • The floor plan, or a hand-drawn sketch with room names and a compass direction
  • Photographs of each room and the entrance
  • The address or location pin
  • A list of areas you are concerned about

What you receive

  • A written summary of observations for each floor
  • Practical options ranked by effort, from rearrangement to minor work
  • A view on which changes are worth making and which can be left alone
  • A call or visit to walk through the home

Online and on-site

Online

A plan and photographs are enough for a thorough first review, followed by a video call that walks room by room.

On-site

A visit to the home, subject to location and scheduling, for houses where the surroundings and entrance need to be seen.

Where Vastu ends and other professionals begin

  • Recommendations that involve construction are marked as optional and should go through your architect and local rules.
  • Rented homes are reviewed within what can be changed without altering the structure.
  • The review does not replace medical, legal or financial advice.

Questions about this service

Does a Vastu review always mean demolition?

No. Many observations are handled through room use, furniture, storage and small adjustments. Construction changes are suggested only where they are practical and clearly flagged as optional.

Can you review a rented home?

Yes. The review is limited to what can be changed without altering the structure, such as room use and furniture layout.

How should I prepare my floor plan?

A scaled plan is best. A hand-drawn sketch with room names, approximate sizes and the direction of north also works.
