Vastu Shastra is a traditional Indian system of architecture and spatial planning, described in classical texts. It relates the orientation of a building and the arrangement of its rooms to the cardinal directions. A Vastu consultation applies those traditional principles to a specific plot, home or business space.
No. Vastu Shastra is a traditional system for buildings and spaces: orientation, layout and the placement of rooms. Astrology (Jyotish) is a separate tradition that reads birth charts and timing. The two are often mentioned together in India, which is why people search for both, but they answer different questions.
Vastu is a traditional discipline, not an empirical science, and claims of guaranteed outcomes are not established by scientific evidence. Some conventions overlap with sound design, such as daylight, ventilation and the sun's path. Vaastya offers guidance within the traditional framework and does not promise financial, health or business results.
After you have shortlisted options and before you pay a booking amount or register. At that stage you can still compare properties or raise questions with the seller. A review is also useful before construction and before moving in.
No. Observations are first addressed through room use, furniture, storage and small adjustments. Construction changes are suggested only where they are practical, and they are marked as optional so you can decide with your architect.
