No. A Vastu consultation can be done for a house that is already built, and many observations are handled without breaking anything. Structural changes are suggested only where they are practical, and they are marked as optional.
Options, in order of effort
- Room use: swapping which room is used for sleeping, study, storage or guests
- Furniture and storage: moving beds, wardrobes, desks and heavy items
- Small fittings and interior changes that need no structural work
- Minor works such as moving a door or a fitting, where the plan allows
- Construction, only where the benefit justifies the cost and disruption
Can a consultation be done for an already constructed house?
Yes. Share the floor plan or a sketch with room names and the direction of north, photographs of each room and the location. The review starts from what is built.
When a structural change is worth discussing
Where an observation is significant and no practical alternative exists, a structural change may be discussed. It should go through your architect, and local building rules and safety always come first.
If you were already told to break a wall
Share that suggestion and your plan for a second review. It can show what the change involves and whether lower-effort options exist.
Vastu is a traditional discipline. Adjustments are guidance within that framework and not a guarantee of any outcome.
